Festivals and Street Events

PALLADIAN Interactive Theatre offers delightful Renaissance events:

"Barcelona" - a hilarious stage comedy that spoofs everything from Shakespeare to The Princess Bride - was first performed at the Geneseo Shakespearean Festival and Renaissance Faire in Illinois.

The play involves a damsel in distress ( of a highly unusual variety ) who relates her adventures with a terrible husband-eating dragon.

Festival organizer Jennifer Kingry wrote:

"I heard nothing but raves about the quality of the entertainment. You and the others of your group got high praise, with 'Barcelona' earning special mention.

"Overall, people have been telling me that there was so much for them to see and do, they stayed far longer than they ever have in the past ( we've never had crowds stay after closing before ... )"
